At Cuddles Community Pre-school we can provide spaces for up to 25 children in both the morning and afternoon, we offer both sessional and part time sessions.. We operate in partnership with two government schemes, the Early Childhood Care and Education scheme (ECCE), and the Community Childcare Subvention scheme (CCS). As part of Respond Support we aim to provide quality affordable childcare. We have collaborated with Better Start to ensure that we are providing the highest level of quality we can. In March 2017 we facilitated our first DES Inspection where we achieved a high result and we were extremely happy with this as all the hard work we had put in with Better Start helped us gain this. Please see our Curriculum Statement which explains a little more about our service.
Cuddles Community Pre-school Curriculum Statement
At Cuddles Community Playschool we provide a play based curriculum and the Anti-Bias Approach while always including the principles of Aistear and Siolta. We believe that children learn through play and being active learners. We allow children to learn and develop at their own pace and we promote a programme for them based on their own lives and interests. We feel that this empowers them and they will have a sense of pride in themselves, their families and communities. We embrace and celebrate difference and we encourage the children to be proactive in recognising and acknowledging inequalities. This in turn will enhance their self-esteem. Our aim is to always do our best to make families feel welcome. We believe when children and their families feel welcome that this instills a sense of ownership within the setting. We wish to make this your service, a home from home and our hope is that the children leave as confident, capable learners ready for their next journey of moving on to national school.
